Mostly Stellenbosch and some Swartland

Decomposed granite, gravel and some clay
Vinification:
All fermented wild and matured in French oak combination of barrique and 400 litre barrels. 25% new. Full malolactic and then blended after 9
months on the fermentation lees without stirring. The wine gets a coarse filtration during bottling.

Winemaker's Notes:
2016 was a tough vintage for the dry farmed vineyards with the extreme drought and we were forced to picked the wines fresher.
The crop was also
generally more than 50% smaller so expect the same concentration and yellow fruit normally associated with this wine but with a lower level of alcohol
and a more lively acidity.
